Okay so I'm a huge music addict, I'm not one of those people who are like "It's not in the charts so it's not cool." NO WAY! The more unknown the better!
Now this woman isn't very unknown, but she's not exactly very "2013".
Kyla la Grange, with the voice of an angel I'm shocked she isn't up there in the charts right now. Her album "Ashes" came out last year, usually I get bored of albums after a while, but Kyla's has actually grown on me with time, I loved it at the start, and I ADORE it now!
If you ever wondered what you would get if you mixed Florence and the Machine and Lana Del Ray, here's your answer. I don't like comparing artists with other artists because I know they are all out there doing their own thing, but it is crazy how much Kyla sounds like a Lana-Florence collab, and not in a copying way, in an "Oh my goodness why isn't all music like this, it is perfection" way.
Kyla is from Watford in England, but her mum is South African and her dad, Zimbabwean.
She studied philosophy at Cambridge uni.
She is currently in the studio writing her second album, which I can NOT wait for! And hopefully with that album will come a tour, if that's so I will DEFFO be there!
