Erm Hello, hi there, I'm not dead! (Although I do feel a bit dead, going back to school always seems to have that affect on me...) Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I haven't had the time (or the energy to be honest with you) But, I'M HERE!
Today I thought I'd put together a little "mixtape". My taste in music is forever shifting so this little playlist/mixtape is full of a lot of music I'm enjoying at the moment.
1. Avenged Sevenfold - Dear God
Avenged Sevenfold are great, and I can't choose a favourite of their songs, but at the moment I've really been into "Dear God". I guess this is one or their softer/calmer songs and it really gets me for some reason. The lyrics "Dear God the only thing I ask of you is to hold her when I'm not around, when I'm much too far away." are really touching and never fail to bring a tear to my eye, I adore this song.
2. Of Mice & Men - My Understandings
This is another song that makes me cry, how emotional am I?
Of Mice & Men (which in case anyone is wondering, was formed before Of Monsters and Men :P) is one of my favourite bands at the moment (along with about 6million other bands, I am a bit of a music junkie) and this song is just perfect. The only fault I can find is that it is TOO short, this always seems to happen to me, my favourite song in an album always tends to be the shortest! I'm also going to pop in two covers of this song because I really think the vocals of these two singers, Lauren Babic and Karl Prytz, really show off the song.
3. The Cab - Temporary Bliss
Okay, call me slow but I just found about The Cab recently, and I'm ADD-ICT-ED!
This song is so up beat, I love the lyrics, the melody and just everything about it to be perfectly honest! I can't get it out of my head, which is probably a bad thing because I have school tomorrow and just know I'm going to be singing it all day by accident.
4. My Chemical Romance - The World Is Ugly
You are probably expecting what I'm about to say, this song makes me cry too, I really am an emotional fool! This song is very close to my heart and I tear up whenever I hear it. Now I was just about to type "MCR were a beautiful band." but I'm not going to, because in my heart they are still together, My Chemical Romance are a beautiful band and so so talented and this is by far one of my favourites of their songs.
5. Ghost Town - In Flames (Acoustic)
Ghost town. Well it's fair to say I'm obsessed, not on stalker level, but on an "I would probably cry uncontrollably for about seven years if any of the members were anywhere near me" level, okay maybe that's classed as stalker level...
BUT GHOST TOWN ARE COMING TO THE UK THIS YEAR SO I SUGGEST YOU ALL GO GET TICKETS!

This is a brilliant song and the acoustic version is just so much better, which is saying a lot because the normal version is perfect! I'm going to have to stop talking now because I am so obsessed.
6. Paramore - That's What You Get
I don't really care how old music is, if it's good, it's good, and it doesn't matter whether it came out in 2009 or '99. I guess you could say this song is "old" but that's a bit silly, because in my opinion Paramore are timeless.
