And Edinburgh Went WILD!

Sorry, please do excuse the pun in my title!
But yesterday Edinburgh DID go wild, because no other than Jessie J was there!
I was lucky enough to get tickets to see her live last night at Edinburgh Castle, and it's fair to say that it was one of the best nights of my life so far!

Now me being a complete music junkie/music nerd I am always on the look out for new and up and coming artists, so the singer A*M*E has been on my radar for a while now. I first heard of her sometime late last year and have been watching her grow ever since, she is a very genuine girl and I am a HUGE fan! So when I heard she was going to be supporting Jessie I was so incredibly excited!
The night as a whole was amazing, A*M*E put on an brilliant show and saw me and Alice going nuts for her (I have to say that a lot of people around us were very unenthusiastic) so waved and shouted "I SEE YOU GUYS". At the end of her set Alice and I decided that we would run down to see if we could catch a glimpse of her. I was in high heels (stupid thing to wear to a concert I know) so running down the multiple stairs was a great feat in it's self! But as we reached the bottom of the stairs we saw A*M*E rounding the corner, at this moment I was thinking "I'm never going to see her again so what the hell, go crazy!" So I shout at the top of my lungs "A*M*E?" and she turns round goes "YES?" and me being completely in shock manages to force out a squeaky "We love you!" and to my surprise, instead of her bolting from this panting, red faced, over excited girl as fast as she could she goes "I love you too!" Honestly, the concert could have ended there and I would have been happy! It was the first time that I had almost lost my voice before the main act had even stepped on stage!

During the break between A*M*E's set and Jessie J me and Alice were queuing to try and get to the surprisingly clean toilets when I saw a door open and who should walk past (on the other side of a barrier) but Jessie J, let's just say I screamed, a lot!

The rest of the night was amazing, Jessie is just such a brilliant performer and really knows how to get a crowd on her side! At one point she even had us chanting people's names from in the crowd "STEVE, STEVE, STEVE, STEVE, STEVE. NATASHA, NATASHA, NATASHA!"
The atmosphere was amazing, I cried ("Who You Are" really is such an emotional song), laughed, danced, screamed and sang very out of tune! The backdrop of the castle was just so breath taking and as the sun began to go down it felt unreal!
There was a darling of a girl sitting in front of us, she must have been about seven years old and she talked to us through out the whole show. I have never met someone so sweet!
The whole concert went by in a blur! Alice and I ran up and down the stairs so many times as we couldn't bare to miss a good story opportunity! By the end of the night we had managed to talk to A*M*E, the backing singers and Jessie's best friend Hollie. We also saw Jessie come out of her changing room twice, stalkers much! And made some good friends, and possibly a lot of enemies, if looks could kill me and Alice would have been shot down multiple times, people did't like our enthusiasm!

But I can't complain as I had the most wonderful night, and one I will never forget!

I will just quickly apologise for the mass amount of pictures and the awful footage, filming really isn't my strong point!

Would You?

You know the one thing I can't stand about being a teenager, the lack of adventure, the lack of freedom. Being young is great, to be honest I'm scared of growing up, but I'm hungry for bigger things than this small town.
Imagine this, if someone came up to you with a backpack and a one way ticket to your favorite city in the world, would you take it? What would you fill that bag with? Where would you go? Where would you stay? What would you do whilst you were away? Would you come back? COULD you come back?
Me, I'm forever full of worries and anxieties, I would worry the train would crash, or I would get stabbed, or my family would die whilst I was away. Why am I having deja vu whilst writing this? Because these are thoughts constantly running through my head, thoughts I can't seem to shake, I am a huge worrier. But that being said I also constantly worry about missing chances, so for that reason I probably would take the bag and the ticket and run.

I would probably stuff the backpack with music, a note book, pens and a camera and hop on the first train. I would obviously forget all the practicalities, classic Molly. Where would I be going? I have no idea. I guess most people can put their finger on a map and say "That is my favorite city." But I can't, for two reasons, first reason being I love cities, I love new people and new faces and new buildings and I'm an adventure addict so I can't pick a favorite! My second reason, a slightly more embarrassing one, I have no idea how to read maps! So either that ticket would be a world tour or a surprise!
Now no journey is complete without a sound track, and if I could only take one album it would have to be "Ashes" by Kyla La Grange. This woman is a freak of nature, how can someone have such a haunting voice? This album is beautiful and would definitely be my adventure sound track.

Imagine it, a complete unknown, unplanned adventure, on your own. Huge opportunities, but also huge risks. Would you grab it with both hands or run like it was the plague?

A Trip To The City

I do love a good city, Milan, Paris, Barcelona, London, Manchester, love them all! But living in Scotland I have one problem, the lack of REAL cities. Now don't get me wrong I love Edinburgh and Glasgow but they aren't exactly huge, are they?
Anyway, a couple of days ago me and my lovely friend Hannah were feeling rather city deprived so decided to go on a little day trip to Glasgow.
We set off in the car and for once it was a beautiful day! The sun was shining and the sky blue, we were quite excited. We were hoping to visit the degree show at the art school (which is well worth a visit, a LOVELY Charles Rennie Mackintosh building) but once we arrived in Glasgow we decided what we truly needed was some well deserved retail therapy! So we scrapped the plan of an art filled day and headed off to Wagamama to grab a quick lunch before we hit the shops.
I always find it funny taking people to Wagamama for the first time as more often than not they are awfully confused by the names and the menus, I am a sucker for habit and almost always have the same thing "A mini chicken ramen, side of chilli squid and and apple, celery, mint and lime juice for me please!"
The food was delicious and if you have never been there before I suggest you pay them a visit as not only is the food great but the staff are always lovely and very happy to chat. Thumbs up for Wagamama Glasgow!

After a wonderful lunch we set off in search of the new forever 21, which believe me wasn't hard to find, it's giant! Having been a huge Forever 21 fan ever since Eilidh introduced me to the one in London, which I must say is beautiful shop, I always hoped we would get one in sunny Scotland. But I never thought we actually would, but good old Forever 21 seem to have read the minds of me and many others living in Scotland and we FINALLY have one in Glasgow! Me and Hannah were in awe at just how perfect they have made it, it's so shiny and feels so clean. It seems so sophisticated but the prices won't break your bank, win win situation!
Really though, we maybe got a little too excited at the decor...

After searching EVERY shop on Buchanan Street for a pair of disco shorts (YES, DISCO PANTS BUT SHORT!) I finally found the PERFECT pair in American Apparel, oh how I worship that shop!
Whilst in there I also found an adorable lacy cropped tee, and of course I couldn't resist!
Goes in to American Apparel looking for one thing, comes out with a whole outfit, situation sound familiar?
Yes?
I thought that may be the case!
But you have to agree these are just gorgeous.

There was just time for a quick Starbucks before we ran to Boots for new lipsticks and mascaras, we were sticking to the essentials for once!
In Starbucks I am as bad as I am in Wagamama, for ever ordering the same thing, on cold days it'll be a medium caramel latte with whipped cream, but if we are blessed with the sun it is not a rare sight to see me with a caramel frappachino in one hand and a camera in the other.
And it was muffins all round, how do Starbucks do such perfect muffins??

After picking up only the essentials from Boots (Okay maybe it was a little more than just the essentials..) we decided to grab a snack for the way home. If you have never had a sweet pretzel before you need to head to Mr Pretzels, NOW. They are heaven in a bag!
All in all it was a very enjoyable day!
