That's the stuff I like!

So, July is almost over and it has been a pretty damn good month! I discovered a love for many new things this month and I'd like to share them with you.
So here you go, the things that have made me grin this month, enjoy!

1. Boy friends! (Not actual boyfriends, but friends who are boys)
My best friend in the whole wide world ever Eilidhcakes (She's really called Eilidh, but I may start referring to her as Eilidhcakes) has just got back from America, while she was away I had NO IDEA what to do with myself, so I had to turn to my trusty guy mates to waste away my hours with.
I hadn't realised how much I love them all, not in an "I love you so lets get married and have ten children" way, more of an "Damn I love the way you can make me laugh until I think I'm going to be sick!" way. Boys are great, when I'm with my four best friends EilidhRosa BluebellAlice and Mara I have a great time but I am no doubt the gobbiest, loudest and most rude of the five of us but when I'm with the guys I don't sound so loud, because they are all crazy!
If this was a couple of years ago I would no way be able to chill with them the way I do now, I most likely would have had a crush on one of them so I would have constantly been trying too hard. But now, I'm so comfortable around them it's like one big family and I'm the little sister. I love making a fool of myself and being able to laugh uncontrollably without worrying about being judged. I've spent many a brilliant afternoon with the boys this summer and it has been great, so that is why they are on the top of my list!

2. Running.
I started running again this month, after not doing it for about a year. I forgot how free it makes you feel, giving you time to think whilst being really good for you at the same time! I adore taking runs down by the river and stopping to sit on the rocks and think, I am a big thinker, sometimes my thoughts scare me but I really do love getting outside so I can have a good old think.
The weather has been brilliant this month so running has been an absolute joy in the evenings, I really hope to keep it up.

3. Lauren Aquilina.
Okay, music was obviously going to be on this list somewhere because music is just aghhhh, I can't even begin to explain how much music means to me. But this girl, she is more than music. She is inexplicably haunting yet comforting and just so insane. Her music has really made me happy this month so you should all check her out!

4. SHOES!
Okay, I'm having a bit of a shoe addiction this month. Shoes have just been making me really happy, that's probably really sad, but it's true!
I finally gave in and bought creepers AND new heels all in one week, but it was a great decision, I not only have new foot wear, but I also feel taller! Great!

So those are a couple of the things that have made me happy this month, what's made you happy?

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Come on, we all love a bit of Mary Poppins, eh? A spoon full of sugar and all that!

Maybe I should have titled this post "SuperCALORIFICexpialidocious" because I have a feeling that this recipe is probably calorie packed, to be honest I've never bothered to work out just how bad it is for me!
But here it is, MOLLY'S MAGNIFICENT ICED WHITE MOCHA. That's a bit of a mouthful, it really is just an iced coffee!

You will need:

An Espresso Shot
Double Cream
Vanilla Ice Cream
White Chocolate
Granulated Sugar
Milk
Ice Cubes

As you can see from the ingredients this drink is hella unhealthy, but it tastes so good. Yes I know that supposedly "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" but personally I think that's a lie.

Step 1: Put on Half Moon Run's new album "Dark Eyes" and crank it up full volume. (Okay this step is optional but I can't do anything without a good soundtrack and this album is so soothing!)
This is "Call me in the afternoon"

Step 2: Make your espresso, I used a coffee machine, but just make it however you usually would. Your coffee needs to be cold for this recipe so it helps if you make the espresso in advance and leave it in the fridge.
Sorry, I forgot to rotate it...

Step 3: Measure out 60ml (1/4 of a cup) cream and 250ml (1 cup) milk

Step 4: Pour your coffee, cream and milk into a blender (to be honest I don't know if what I'm using is actually a blender, I've always referred to it as "the banana milkshake maker") and add one scoop of ice cream, two teaspoons of sugar and four squares of chocolate. (If you don't want any lumps you can melt the chocolate before hand)

Step 5: Blend for about 30 seconds.
I forgot to rotate this one as well...

Step 6: Pour into a glass and add at least five ice cubes.

Step 7: ENJOY!

A Trip To The City

I do love a good city, Milan, Paris, Barcelona, London, Manchester, love them all! But living in Scotland I have one problem, the lack of REAL cities. Now don't get me wrong I love Edinburgh and Glasgow but they aren't exactly huge, are they?
Anyway, a couple of days ago me and my lovely friend Hannah were feeling rather city deprived so decided to go on a little day trip to Glasgow.
We set off in the car and for once it was a beautiful day! The sun was shining and the sky blue, we were quite excited. We were hoping to visit the degree show at the art school (which is well worth a visit, a LOVELY Charles Rennie Mackintosh building) but once we arrived in Glasgow we decided what we truly needed was some well deserved retail therapy! So we scrapped the plan of an art filled day and headed off to Wagamama to grab a quick lunch before we hit the shops.
I always find it funny taking people to Wagamama for the first time as more often than not they are awfully confused by the names and the menus, I am a sucker for habit and almost always have the same thing "A mini chicken ramen, side of chilli squid and and apple, celery, mint and lime juice for me please!"
The food was delicious and if you have never been there before I suggest you pay them a visit as not only is the food great but the staff are always lovely and very happy to chat. Thumbs up for Wagamama Glasgow!

After a wonderful lunch we set off in search of the new forever 21, which believe me wasn't hard to find, it's giant! Having been a huge Forever 21 fan ever since Eilidh introduced me to the one in London, which I must say is beautiful shop, I always hoped we would get one in sunny Scotland. But I never thought we actually would, but good old Forever 21 seem to have read the minds of me and many others living in Scotland and we FINALLY have one in Glasgow! Me and Hannah were in awe at just how perfect they have made it, it's so shiny and feels so clean. It seems so sophisticated but the prices won't break your bank, win win situation!
Really though, we maybe got a little too excited at the decor...

After searching EVERY shop on Buchanan Street for a pair of disco shorts (YES, DISCO PANTS BUT SHORT!) I finally found the PERFECT pair in American Apparel, oh how I worship that shop!
Whilst in there I also found an adorable lacy cropped tee, and of course I couldn't resist!
Goes in to American Apparel looking for one thing, comes out with a whole outfit, situation sound familiar?
Yes?
I thought that may be the case!
But you have to agree these are just gorgeous.

There was just time for a quick Starbucks before we ran to Boots for new lipsticks and mascaras, we were sticking to the essentials for once!
In Starbucks I am as bad as I am in Wagamama, for ever ordering the same thing, on cold days it'll be a medium caramel latte with whipped cream, but if we are blessed with the sun it is not a rare sight to see me with a caramel frappachino in one hand and a camera in the other.
And it was muffins all round, how do Starbucks do such perfect muffins??

After picking up only the essentials from Boots (Okay maybe it was a little more than just the essentials..) we decided to grab a snack for the way home. If you have never had a sweet pretzel before you need to head to Mr Pretzels, NOW. They are heaven in a bag!
All in all it was a very enjoyable day!
